Carrier route
The geographic territory served by a single USPS letter carrier; the unit of selection in EDDM.
Full definition
Each USPS letter carrier serves a specific neighborhood section called a carrier route (CRRT). Routes are identified by codes like C001, C002, etc. and have between roughly 200 and 1,000 addresses each. EDDM lets you select carrier routes geographically, then USPS delivers your piece to every address on the selected routes.
